What DocketHealth does

One login for documentation compliance and prior authorization — built for home health and specialty practices.

NoteProof: documentation compliance

Every note is scored against payer and state rules before it's billed — catching missing signatures, homebound status, and other fatal gaps automatically.

AuthRunner: prior authorization tracking

Know exactly what each payer requires, submit electronically via FHIR Da Vinci PAS, and never miss a deadline with automatic 72/168-hour clocks.

Denials & appeals

Capture the denial reason, get an AI-drafted appeal your staff reviews and edits before it's filed, and track your win rate by payer.

Payer scorecards

See approval rates and turnaround time by payer, so you know who to call and what to expect before you submit.

Flexible intake

Import patients from CSV, pull directly from any FHIR R4 EHR, or fax and scan documents in — OCR and AI structure them for your review.

Team, audit & billing

Role-based access, a tamper-evident audit log, and usage-based billing that scales with your practice.

Eligibility check — is PA required?

Instant answer from the crowdsourced payer/CPT dataset, cross-checked live against the payer's own Da Vinci CRD system when connected, plus the payer's documentation checklist (DTR) if published. Pick a patient to also run the live check.

Document intake (fax / PDF / scanned referral)

Upload a scanned or faxed referral and an AI extraction pass fills in the fields below for staff to review, correct, and apply to a new PA request. Nothing is auto-submitted -- every extracted field is a suggestion until a staff member confirms it.

New PA request

Creates a Draft request with an AI-drafted medical-necessity narrative. Nothing is sent to a payer yet -- review the narrative below, then Submit when ready.

Organization MFA policy

Users who haven't enrolled yet will be prompted to set up MFA immediately on next login before they can do anything else.

Audit & compliance

Every action in DocketHealth is written to a tamper-evident, hash-chained audit log — each entry's hash incorporates the previous entry's, so any retroactive edit or deletion breaks the chain and is detectable. Use this to produce evidence for SOC 2 / HIPAA audits.

Team access review

Flags accounts that never logged in, have been inactive 90+ days, lack MFA, or are org admins without MFA/SSO — the checks an auditor asks for first.

Documentation compliance rules

Platform rules apply everywhere. Your organization can add state- or payer-specific rules that layer on top — these are shared across every DocketHealth organization billing that state/payer, the same way crowdsourced PA requirements are.

Payer Da Vinci connections (CRD / DTR / PAS)

Connect a payer's FHIR endpoints to enable live "is PA required?" checks (CRD), payer-published documentation checklists (DTR), and electronic prior-auth submission with async determination (PAS). All three are optional and independent — configure whichever the payer publishes.

Claim-readiness trend, PA approval trend, deadlines needing attention, top denial reasons, and which payers are worth watching -- one summary instead of four tabs. Send it now, or route it automatically above.

Usage-based billing (Stripe)

DocketHealth meters PA submissions and note-scrub runs regardless of whether Stripe is connected -- see the usage summary below. Connecting Stripe subscription items here additionally reports that usage to Stripe automatically for metered billing. Leave blank to bill flat-rate/manually.

Billing consultant access

Grant a consultant's own DocketHealth login scoped, revocable access to this organization — they never get an org-specific password.
